Millions tune in to Wimbledon Antiques Roadshow

Some 7.6 million viewers tuned in to watch presenter Fiona Bruce and the Antiques Roadshow experts spend a rather wet morning at Wimbledon as over 1,000 visitors braved the rain to bring their artefacts to the AELTC. Queueing up inside the Long Bar, and underneath the canopies of the Pergola area, the sun appeared shortly after lunch, giving way to a beautiful bright afternoon at Wimbledon.

Although the gates closed to visitors at 4.30pm, filming went on well into the evening, as thousands of Wimbledon residents and those who had travelled from afar had their antiques examined by the BBC's famous faces.

The programme took a 31 per cent share of viewing figures on Sunday evening.
