Wimbledon.com's thoughts on the hits on the third day of the Aegon Championships at The Queen's Club, London...
SCOURGE OF THE DAY
The rain. It descended on W14 yet again and forced play to be called for the day at 6pm. Start doing some sun dances...
QUOTE OF THE DAY
"It's something taking my free time during the days and weeks and so far it's pretty cool, pretty fun."
Tomas Berdych on joining Twitter
BIG WIN
Dan Evans. The British No.5 showed yet again why he is a man for the big stage, upsetting the very experienced 13th seed, Jarkko Nieminen, 6-4 6-7(6) 6-4 to reach the third round of an ATP event for the first time.
THE UPSET
Lleyton Hewitt won the battle of older versus younger with his 6-4, 6-3 win over Grigor Dimitrov. The four-time champ upset the 10th seed without much ado to set up a fun third round against another former champion, Sam Querrey, watched by his son Cruz.
WATCH OUT FORAlexandr Dolgopolov. The pony-tailed man with the intriguing game style could be at the beginning of a much-needed return to form after beating Santiago Giraldo
6-3 4-6 6-4.
OTHER WINNERS
Tomas Berdych cruised through his opening match at the Aegon Championships, as did Marin Cilic, Grega Zemlja, and Kenny De Schepper. Benjamin Becker meanwhile pulled off a big scalp with his upset of 12th seed Lukas Rosol.
AND IN DOUBLES
Jamie Murray and John Peers produced a satisfying 7-6(5) 6-3 victory over Dimitrov and Wimbledon champion Freddie Nielsen.
FAMOUS FACES
Oscar winner Kevin Spacey was in the crowd at Queen's today, watching Andy Murray against Nicolas Mahut. Spacey, who is often in London on theatre business, is a well-known tennis fan.
