BIG WIN Lleyton Hewitt. The four-time champion showed he is still capable of his old magic on these grass courts, upsetting former champion Sam Querrey.
DOUBLE DOSES Both Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga completed two wins in a day on Thursday, as Tsonga battled away to beat compatriot Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-3, before returning for another three-set battle over Igor Sijsling, winning 7-5, 5-7, 6-3. Murray meanwhile finished his rain-delayed match against Nicolas Mahut 6-3, 7-6(4), before later cruising past Marinko Matosevic 6-2, 6-2.
SURPRISE PACKAGES Denis Kudla and Benjamin Becker, both through to the quarter-finals. The American came through against Kenny De Schepper, while Becker upset seventh seed Alexandr Dolgopolov.
OTHER WINNERS
Juan Martin Del Potro had an easy ride against Dan Evans 6-0, 6-3, Tomas Berdych thundered past Grega Zemlja 6-3, 6-4. Meanwhile, there were doubles wins for Julien Benneteau and Nenad Zimonjic, Benoit Paire and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Alex Peya and Bruno Soares, Jamie Murray and John Peers, Viktor Troicki and Grega Zemlja, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Jonathan Smith, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna.
WATCH OUT FOR Marin Cilic. The defending champion has been flying under the radar this tournament, but pulled off a meaty 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-5 win over Feliciano Lopez, a former Wimbledon quarter-finalist, to reach the last eight.
