1998 Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna and Barbara Schett recorded their third win from as many Group B matches to book their place in the final.
The Czech-Austrian double-act inflicted a third defeat on Martina Navratilova, a record 20-time Wimbledon champion, and her American compatriot, three-time Wimbledon semi-finalist Pam Shriver, 6-1, 6-4.
The reward for Novotna and Schett is a challenging final against defending champions, and former Wimbledon winners, Lindsay Davenport and Martina Hingis, who cruised through together in Group A.
In the gentlemen's invitational doubles, former Wimbledon finalist Mark Philippoussis and Thomas Enqvist won their third Group B match in succession, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, against Dutch No.2 seeds, Jacob Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis.
Victory for the big-serving duo confirms their final berth where they will meet former British number one Greg Rusedski and French magician Fabrice Santoro.
Rusedski and Santaro were awarded a walkover over 1996 Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek and Mark Petchey to gift them a clear passage to the last two.
In the senior invitational gentlemen's doubles, Jeremy Bates and Anders Jarryd beat Australian pair Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee in Group B.
