Czech top seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova cruised through to the semi-finals of the Girls' doubles after a convincing win over Australia's Sara Tomic, the younger sister of Bernard, and Carolina Meligeni Rodrigues Alves, of Brazil.
Krejcikova, who won the French Open girls' doubles title in June and reached the quarter-final in the girls' singles draw at Wimbledon this year, recorded a straight sets, 6-4, 6-0 victory on a sun-drenched Court 5.
The 17-year-olds will contest a semi-final against No.5 seeds Ioana Ducu of Romania, and Serbia's Nina Stojanovic.
Ducu and Stojanovic were forced to battle on Court 12 but eventually prevailed 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 against No.4 seeds, Domenica Gonzalez of Ecuador, and Canada's Carol Zhao in a match which lasted over an hour and a half.
The make-up of the semi-final on the other side of the draw went with the form book, mostly. No.2 seeds Belinda Bencic of Switzerland, and Slovakia's Petra Uberalova took less than an hour to make their way past Estonia's Anett Kontaveit and partner, Jelena Ostapenko, of Latvia, for the loss of just two games, 6-1, 6-1.
However, there was an upset on Court 5 as the competition's third seeds exited Wimbledon.
2013 girls' quarter-finalist Anhelina Kalinina of Ukraine and Belarus's Iryna Shymanovich dug deep after losing the first set against Elise Mertens and Ipek Soylu, to come back and win in three sets, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Kalinina and Shymanovich will now meet Bencic and Uberalova in the semi-finals.
