The third Road to Wimbledon 14 & under event supported by HSBC took place at the RK Khanna tennis centre in Delhi last week.
The venue is the headquarters of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) and the tennis centre where the 2010 Commonwealth Games was played.
Like many of the tennis centres in India it has excellent hard court facilities with a huge centre court where Davis Cup matches have been played in the past. Player accommodation, gym health & fitness facilities, swimming pool and plenty of space for players to practice and train with many international and national tournaments being organised at the tennis centre year round.
This third event in the girl's singles was again won by second seed Prinkle Singh who I saw win at Kolkata on the grass and the week after in Chandigarh.
Prinkle beat top seed Mahak Jain 6-4 6-4 and absolutely secured her place in the Road to Wimbledon Junior Masters final during the week of the 6 April.
In the boy’s singles top seed and winner of the Chandigarh event Himanshu Mor beat Drona Walia in a close match 4-6 6-2 7-5 to also book his place in the Masters final.

Next week is the fourth Road to Wimbledon in Mumbai. After Mumbai the AITA will then calculate the top 16 boys and girls from the four Road to Wimbledon events and thus who will qualify for the Masters in Delhi.
The Masters will consist of a round robin with four boxes of four with the top two players from each box moving into a quarter-finals knock out.
The four finalists - two boys and two girls - will then be invited on behalf of the All England Club Wimbledon and HSBC to compete in the HSBC Road to Wimbledon National Finals on the Wimbledon grass courts during the week of 10 August 2015.
Accompanying the players will be a male and female coach appointed by the AITA. Quite some prize as the four players who had the experience in 2014 had will testify to.
