Wimbledon at your fingertips
The Wimbledon mobile apps give you The Championships just the way you want them.  READ MORE

Updated for 2015, Wimbledon’s apps for iPhone, iPad and Android give you access to The Championships as never before.

In days gone past, multi-platform viewing of The Championships meant having BBC1 on in one room and BBC2 in the other – that’s assuming you had the technology as well as the energy for the shuttle runs in between.

Unless you were lucky enough to take a seat at The Championships, your Wimbledon coverage was whatever the broadcaster served up. And very good coverage it was too, but keeping a handle on anything other than the feature matches was never easy.

How do you wade through The Draw to find your favourite players, and once you’ve found them, how do you keep up?

Much has changed, of course, and Wimbledon’s offer for the tennis fan – ardent or not – is all encompassing, offering access across multiple platforms for viewing, listening and, more recently, interacting.

But there’s so much going on during The Fortnight that the fundamental problem still stands – how on earth do you keep track of it all? How do you wade through The Draw to find your favourite players, and once you’ve found them, how do you keep up?

This is where the Wimbledon apps come into play. Launched in 2014, the apps for iPhone, iPad and Android have been updated for 2015 and offer more of those viewing, listening and interacting opportunities than ever before.

Everything you’d expect on the information front is there – the order of play, draws, results, profiles and exclusive access to live scores, but the apps can expertly weed through and highlight those bits you’re really interested in. Narrow your preferences down to particular players and that’s what you’ll get. Want to follow women’s doubles in full but keep an eye on Roger and Serena? Of course you can. Patriotically track all the players from your own country? Easy.

But as we’ve come to expect from Wimbledon’s digital offer, there’s so much more. iPhone and Android users have access to Live@Wimbledon video and radio, broadcasting throughout The Championships from  12 noon to 7pm. There’s also the opportunity to browse the shop and take advantage of competitions and special offers.

The next best place to be if you’re not on The Hill itself (name it after Henman or Murray as you like), is on the Social Hill, enjoying the social media interaction where you can share your opinions on any number of topics throughout The Fortnight and see the results, photos, tweets and live streaming – just the same as the crowds in The Grounds.

With the iPad app you can additionally take advantage of extra video clips and archives as well as Wimbledon’s brand new 360’ drone footage and panoramas, time lapse cameras and access to the Wimbledon interactive map.

So if you were planning on dashing between televisions, the Wimbledon apps provide an easier, more satisfying and frankly far less exhausting way of keeping abreast of events at The Championships.
