Tube strike transport advice - From the evening of Wednesday 8 July and all day Thursday 9 July
Transport for London are advising that travellers should complete their Tube journeys by 17:00 on Wednesday 8 July, and travel earlier if at all possible.
Tube services are expected to be exceptionally busy between 16:00 and 18:00 and will begin to stop running after this time.
No Tube services are expected to operate on Thursday 9 July.
London Overground, DLR, TfL Rail and trams will all operate a normal service but all public transport and roads will be much busier than usual. Allow more time for your journey.
For further information and to plan your journey visit the TFL website.
If you are travelling to and from The Championships, Tube services will not run from Southfields, Wimbledon or any other nearby stations from early evening on Wednesday 8 July, and all day on Thursday 9 July.
The Championships remain accessible by bus, National Rail and tram at Wimbledon station, however these services will be busier as a result of customers using alternative routes.
Wimbledon station is a 20 minute walk away (1.1 miles) from the venue, or a short bus ride by London General shuttle bus. From Wimbledon station, bus and rail alternatives include:
Alternatively, taxi-sharing will be available between Wimbledon station and Wimbledon Tennis Championships, and from Wimbledon Tennis Championships to central London.
