Serena Williams' hopes of a calendar Grand Slam are still alive after a straight-sets defeat of Russian rival Maria Sharapova in the second ladies' semi-final on Thursday.
Williams' 6-2 6-4 victory puts her into her eighth ladies' singles final at the All England Club where she will face Spain's Garbine Muguruza, who beat Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska earlier on Centre Court.
It was Williams' 17th successive victory over Sharapova and takes her head-to-head record against the world No.4 to 18-2.
