Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza have staged a thrilling comeback to win the ladies' doubles final at Wimbledon to beat Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.
Trailing 5-2 in the third set, the top seeds discovered some inspired play and reeled off five consecutive games to win 5-7, 7-6(4), 7-5.
The match began in the early evening daylight and concluded beneath a closed roof on an illuminated Centre Court, and was played before one of the most atmospheric crowds in recent memory at a Grand Slam women's doubles decider.
A battle between the No.1 and No.2 seeds, the quality of play was high and the shot-making was impressive as the four women produced a final for the ages.
For Mirza, it is her first ever major women's doubles crown, while Hingis adds a third Wimbledon doubles title to her trophies in 1996 and 1998.
