The Wimbledon Foundation, the charitable arm of the All England Club, has announced a further commitment to their Community Fund with £200,000 of grant funding available over the next two years.

The third round of the fund is now open with grants of up to £5,000 available to charities and community organisations working in the London Boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth.

The Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund was launched in June 2014 in conjunction with the London Community Foundation and distributes £100,000 annually over two rounds, to benefit the community and provide support for local organisations to meet social needs in the two boroughs.

Funding is available to projects that address one or more of the following themes: improving mental and physical health and well-being, addressing education, training and employability needs, addressing poverty, disadvantage and isolation, and encouraging community cohesion.

Helen Parker, Wimbledon Foundation & Community Manager at the All England Club, said: “We are delighted to announce a further two year period for our Community Fund. We have been very pleased with the excellent projects we have supported so far and look forward to funding more organisations that make a real difference to the lives of local people.”
