Road to Wimbledon India 2015 - A long-term game
Tournament Director Paul Hutchins is blogging from India as the first qualifying events for the Road to Wimbledon in India 2015, supported by HSBC, begin in Kolkata... READ MORE

We were delighted with an enthusiastic response from our media conference today when we announced a three year agreement with the All India Tennis Association (AITA) to continue an expanded Road to Wimbledon junior development programme of 14 & Under events as well as coach education sessions and clinics and coaching from HSBC Ambassador Tim Henman and Dan Bloxham (pictured with me above).

We are also promoting grass court tennis and here at the South Club it is home from home seeing the juniors playing on these excellent grass courts where historic tournaments, such as Davis Cup, have been played in the past.

Players, parents and coaches seem really fired up. The top 16 boys and girls from the four Road to Wimbledon events will qualify for the Masters so there is a lot of competition for places.

Tomorrow we start the Dan Bloxham coach and player clinics which should be really good.
