Gary O’Brian the development officer of the Bengal tennis Association was delighted with our coach education session today in Kolkata saying ’it was really inspiring to the coaches. Dan & Paul pitched the session just right and the full turnout of 30 coaches really enjoyed the off and on court coaching advice.'

Many of the coaches also assisted Dan in a Road to Wimbledon player clinic under the flood lights of the South Club where 90 juniors took part on 6 clay courts showing great enthusiasm and willingness to learn with keen parents all looking on delighted at the fun and inspirational activity that Dan gave all the players.

Important matches continued all day on the South Club fast grass courts with pre quarter finals matches all scheduled for tomorrow.

Each round is important as all juniors want to qualify for the Masters in April where the top 16 boys and girls will be invited.

Also today Dan and I were invited by the President of the Bengal tennis Association Hironmoy Chatterjee, a keen golfer, as well as Manpreet from the AITA, to the second oldest golf club in the world namely the Royal Kolkata Golf Club with St Andrews in Scotland I am told the first.

Wow the greens and course looked amazing and club house full of tradition. Wish we had time for a game!
