Bio
Knapp comes from the largely German-speaking northern Italian province of South Tyrol. A 2013 Fed Cup winner, the 28-year-old has also won two WTA titles including the Nurnberg Open on clay in 2015. Knapp considers the forehand her best strength and her finest Grand Slam showing has been the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2013.
